Futurist Course

img_cases_Eidsiva2Education case: Inhouse futurists at Eidsiva

How to be a driving force in our community? The Norwegian Energy company Eidsiva became proficient in understanding local and global trends and tendencies to help them be fast followers in the market and to create a new innovative culture. On the one hand we worked with the abstract concepts of futurism – teaching the staff how to navigate in “The Big Picture of the Future”. On the other hand we applied the new insights to Eidsiva’s strategy. We always try to work like this- playing ping-pong between the participants daily work and the new world of the future. In reality, teaching people to think and act in different ways is a real challenge. A challenge we embrace and constantly find new ways of overcoming.

Innovation case: Inhouse futurists at DONG IT

It’s one thing to talk about innovation. Another to move the visionary lingo from the leadership group to the employee’s daily lives and change the work habits and routines. This project was a tough cookie for all of us, with a steep learning curve. We established a group of innovation ambassadors who, armed with tool books and practical assignments, sought to spread the joy of innovation to their colleagues. An admirable performance from the Future Factory team.
