Doina Stoica

About:

For Doina going from theory to practice is the main goal and if you know that she combined along her studies foreign languages, education, mobile technology, adult education and anthropology, you come to get a picture of her original professional background.
Being involved in project coordination, collaborating for writing proposals, organising workshops, finding and establishing collaboration relations between contacts from EU countries, transferring of know-how and technology between EU countries (especially related to e-health) helped her gain professional competences quite different from her original studies.

The multicultural background gained by living and working in different European countries made her understand the real value of herself. Her motto is that “we have to be true and authentic first to ourselves and then to the others. Once we do that the rest comes by itself”.

Doina is an open minded, optimist and flexible person who thinks that every problem can become a solution and that just by putting yourself in others’ shoes changes your perspective.

Doina specialises in:
- e-learning and m-learning;
- future and innovative ways of learning: mobile learning, e-learning; teaching and education using mobile technology;
- innovative models/concepts of instructional design;
- foreign languages learning and teaching;
- translations.

Doina has special interest in:
- researching and discovering the social/cultural/gender impact of using mobile technology;
- exploring the potential of games both for educational purposes and fun;
- techno anthropology;
- innovative methods of unlocking creativity.
